There are some new additions to the Math Links. Try them out! :)
(The fraction link has been updated to a new website.)

Parents,
You can look at sample FCAT questions on the Florida Department of Education website. Scroll down and click on FCAT on the right side of the screen. Then scroll down and click on FCAT 2.0 on the left. Finally, you will see a section called "Taking the Assessments" and you will click on "Sample Test Questions".

Yeah, the holidays have finally arrived! Don Brewer will be sending home a Winter Math Packet for students to keep up their math skills over the break. It covers basic skills and should be easy practice over the much needed two week break. Students who turn in their completed packet when we return will receive extra credit towards their math grade.

I wish everyone a wonderful holiday break and I look forward to seeing fresh and renewed faces when we return in January.

Seasons Greetings!

Our holiday party will be Friday December 17th. We will be going on a field trip to the Downtown Library and to Kids Campus. When we return we will celebrate with a pizza lunch and treats.

The field trip cost is only $2.00 (bus fee) and we are asking for a $1 to $3 donation toward the pizza and treats.

Big Noticing:

We need help learning place value!! After taking a pretest this week for fractions and decimals, we discovered that we are very weak in the area of place value. (Especially with values behind the decimal point.)

Please help your child in this area at home and we will definitly be working on it here at school.
